August 18, 1986 is when it all began. Nittany Line Hobbies was opened on 117 South Allen St. In 1989 we moved to 127 South Fraser St, where we maintained a store until the last month. 1990 marked the year we tried two stores and opened the hobbies only store at 253 Benner Pike. Three years later we moved to the Wal-Mart plaza on North Atherton St. and became Nittany Line Hobbies and Toys. Five years later we moved next to Wegman's Supermarket, this year we moved to our current and future home, 1613 North Atherton St.

Looking forward to the future, we plan to add events to the store schedule. We will hold club meetings and hobby educational classes and workshops and gaming nights. Our customers will direct what we do and everyone in State College and the surrounding communities will be able to enjoy everything we have to offer. We are really looking forward to opening up the wonderful world of hobbies and games to everyone interested. How they work and how to get the most out of them for your enjoyment is our goal.

We will offer activities to scouting groups as well, we have many activities that qualify for merit badges and achievements.

Our staff is very knowledgeable about all the hobby and games and toys we sell in the store. We all are hobbyists and can service almost everything we sell. We have many years of experience solving problems relating to and repairing most of the products we have.
